Why operators move

The four reasons we hear most.

Real conversations with operators evaluating a switch off enterprise WMS. Same patterns, every time.

The per-client math punishes growth.

When the entry tier is $2,145/mo, every new client has to clear a much higher hurdle before it pays for itself. We watched operators turn down $1,500/mo retainers because they couldn't justify the cost-per-client on their software bill. Flat pricing flips that — your 9th client costs you zero in extra software.

SMB doesn't need the enterprise feature set.

Multi-warehouse load balancing, deep cross-dock orchestration, 20-carrier rate shopping — ShipHero ships these because their target customer is a 500K-unit-per-month operation. If you are running one warehouse with 30K units a month, you are paying for code that never runs against your data.

Tablet-first receiving matters in real warehouses.

Your receiver is on a 10" Android tablet at the dock, not a $2,000 workstation. iShipTo's receiving flow was designed for that hardware first — large tap targets, photo capture native, variance auto-flag on line close. ShipHero's UI was designed for desktop, then adapted; the difference shows up in dock-floor adoption rates.

White-label client portal without an extra add-on.

Your clients want to log in, see live inventory, and request shipments. On iShipTo, the white-label portal is on by default — your logo, your subdomain, your clients never see iShipTo branding. On ShipHero, that capability is paid extra.

Honest take

When ShipHero is the better choice.

We’re not the right answer for every warehouse. If any of these describe your operation, ShipHero is probably the better fit today — and we’ll tell you that on a sales call rather than waste your time:

  • You ship 500K+ units/month

Our pricing and feature roadmap are tuned for 5K–100K units/mo per warehouse. Past that, ShipHero's infrastructure and load balancing are battle-tested at scale we haven't reached yet.

  • You need deep Amazon SP-API parity today

Auto-sync of FBA shipment plans and live FBA inventory ships in our Phase 2. If you can't wait — and your business depends on it now — ShipHero has the deeper Amazon integration today.

  • You need SOC 2 Type 2 immediately

Our compliance program is on the roadmap, not on the wall. If your enterprise customers require a current SOC 2 Type 2 report to onboard you as a 3PL, ShipHero will pass procurement faster than we will.

For everyone else — 1 to 10 clients, 5K to 100K units per month, running one warehouse, evaluating WMS for the first time — we built iShipTo for your cost structure specifically.

Common questions

What operators ask when they’re evaluating a switch.

  • Yes. We accept CSV exports of products, inventory snapshots, and historical purchase orders. The Growth and Pro plans include bulk CSV import; Pro adds dedicated migration assistance — we will sit on a call and map your fields ourselves. Open orders are easiest to bring over once your current ShipHero cycle closes, so we usually recommend cutting over on a Monday after a clean Friday close.
